The Washington Haggadah, Limited Edition Series,
The Washington Haggadah, Limited edition series. The two book series is presented in a beautiful collectors storage box. Signed Book Number 417 The Washington Haggadah, which was produced in 1478 by Joel Ben Simeon in Central Europe, is one of the treasures of the Library of Congress. This facsimile, together with a commentary volume, was published in 1991 by the Library of Congress in a limited edition of 550 copies with the support of the Project Judaica Foundation, Washington, D.C.. The printing was accomplished by Stemeria Valdonega, Verona, Italy. The commentary volume and the accompanying facsimile edition of the Washington Haggadah were printed in a limited edition of 550 copies. The color transparencies were taken by Theodore Stanley. The text was set in Monotype Baskerville. The printing of both volumes, in letterpress and offset, was carried out by Stamperia Valdonega in Verona, with separations by Colorgradic, paper by Cartier Fedrigonu, and bonding by Legatoria Recelcati. The designer was Stephen Kraft of WASHINGTON, D.C. Private Collections of Mark E. Talisman, a long-time advocate for Jewish causes and a founder of the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington D.C.
