Rare handwritten and signed letter from Rabbi Moshe Feinstein to the Gaon Rabbi Yechiel Yaakov Weinberg.
A very special letter that reveals a measure of the inner world of the halachic decisor of his generation, Rabbi Moshe Feinstein.
Dated 12 Nisan 5756. Sent to the Gaon Rabbi Yechiel Yaakov Weinberg. In the letter Rabbi Feinstein apologizes that he had not had time to review the pamphlet on chalitza – release from levirate marriage – that Rabbi Weinberg had sent to him. Rabbi Feinstein further wrote, “Even though I am not worthy and fitting, even so I must read each issue closely and respond accordingly, out of fear that perhaps I have become a teacher for this generation, on it’s level.”
