This lot consists of an envelope containing three 100-lira bills of old Israeli currency. On the outside of the envelope the Steipler wrote, “To Rabbi A. Hurwitz” and inside the envelope is a small note (written on the back of kvittel note given to him), with the handwritten notation, “this is three hundred for an etrog, as is customary, for a blessing to be written and sealed for good in all matters.”
