Rare Torah journal published by R. Elchonon Wasserman in Baranovitch. Includes the Divrei Sofrim (Pietrikow 1924). With novella by the Chofetz Chaim, R. Shimon Shkop, R. Naftali Tropp, R. Avrohom Yoffen and R. Naftali Amsterdam. Also included is Torah correspondence between R. Elchonon and R. Menachem Ziemba.
R. Elchonon Bunim Wasserman (1874-1941), learned at the Telshe Yeshiva under R. Lazer Gordon and R. Shimon Shkop, and later became a close disciple of R. Chaim Soloveitchik and the Chofetz Chaim. As Rosh Yeshiva in Baranovitch he was renowned for his clear and penetrating shiurim which attracted many students. His seforim, Kovetz Shiurim, Kovetz He’oros and Kovetz Ma’amorim are widely studied in Yeshivos. Additionally, he was extensively involved in communal matters and was very active in the Agudas Yisroel movement.
