R. Moshe Cheifetz (1663–1711), was a pupil of R. Solomon Nizza and was known as a child prodigy. He was a well-known rabbinical figure in Italy who in addition to being a distinguished Talmid Chochom was proficient in Philosophy, Mathematics, and the Natural Sciences.

R. Nochum Dov Ber Friedman (1843-1883), was a son of R. Shalom Yosef Friedman of Sadigura (eldest son of R. Yisroel of Ruzhin) and son-in-law of R. Avraham Yaakov of Sadigura, also a son of Rabbi Yisroel of Ruzhin. Known as a great Tzaddik, he had an extensive library of seforim.
Although many volumes of R. Nochum Berenu’s library have survived, it is unusual to find volumes with his signature.
