Galanta Yeshiva 1931. Unrecorded. Extremely rare.
Extremely rare, unrecorded booklet printed by the Galanta Yeshiva under the leadership of the revered R. Yehoshua Bucsbaum. With a detailed list of all the hundreds of Talmidim (including their cities of origin), who learned in Yeshiva in 1930-31 as well as a list of regional Gabbaim. Seemingly, the purpose of these groups was that the talmidim should remain united even after they left the Galanta Yeshiva. This booklet is indicative of the deep connection and awe the “Galanta Talmidim” towards to their revered Rebbe.
R. Yehoshua Bucsbaum (1877-1944), was a talmid of R. Shmuel Rosenberg of Unsdorf and R. Moshe Hoffman. He served as Rav in Galanta, where in in addition to his rabbinical duties he led a great Yeshiva. Enormously admired, he was held in awe by his talmidim and community, whom he continued to lead, until he was tragically killed in the Holocaust.
28 pages. 22.7 cm. Excellent condition.
