''Moment of Peace'' 2019
Iron sculpture and soldering
69/52 cm
(For installation with one nail)

We met Opel in Kibbutz Ga'aton, located in the north of the country, in the high mountains of Israel
A young 29-year-old boy, a goldsmith. Opel relates that from an early age he would sneak into his father's studio and learn his delicate craft, experimenting with fire fighting.
Studied art at Tel Hai College.
Opel makes unique jewelry that includes crowns and wands, copper and natural gems. His jewelry is suitable for princesses from ancient times.
Opal makes art from natural materials, copper, iron, fire, wood and their roots. Also from aggressive materials that can be found in the base of buildings: rusty irons and concrete.
To the iron bends he came by chance, when he created a pendant commissioned by a face portrait and fell in love with the result. Some of his sculptures can be seen as a combination of jewelry.
We fell in love with his delicate and special works.
