Rabbi Chaim Eliezer Shapira (1871-1937), also known as the Minchas Elazar, was the son of the Darchei Teshuva and the Admor of Munkatch. He was one of the great rabbinical leaders of Hungary before World War II and fought passionately to preserve Jewish tradition. His writings were published in many sefarim including Responsa Minchas Elazar - five parts, Darchei Teshuva on Nidah, Darchei Chaim V’Shalom, Likutei Divrei Torah, Chaim V’Shalom and more.
