About The Artist:
Born in 1976, Talia Israeli currently lives and works in Tel-Aviv. In 2002 she received a BFA from the Bezalel Academy of Art & Design in Jerusalem, and in 2005 she completed the MFA program at Goldsmiths in London. Israeli teaches painting at the Bezalel department of fine art.
Amongst Israeli’s solo exhibitions: Last City, at the Tavi Art Gallery, Tel-Aviv; Low Ground at the Evoke gallery for contemporary art, Santa Fe; and Bio Power at the Alon Segev Gallery, Tel-Aviv. Selected group exhibitions include: Art Forum, Berlin; FA Projects, London; Hanngar Bicocca, Milano; The Artists’ Studio, Tel-Aviv; Robert Sandelson Gallery, London; Alon Segev Gallery, Tel-Aviv; Winzavod, Moscow Contemporary Art Center, Moscow; and Ramat-Gan Museum, Ramat-Gan, Israel.
Israeli has received various awards including: The Bezalel’s Achievment award, The Sharet Award for young artists by the America-Israel Cultural Foundation, shortlisted for the Celeste Art Prize, and received an MFA grant from the AIA. Israeli’s paintings can be .found in many private collections worldwide and in public collections.
