Bernard: Huitres. c.1780-1790. This attractive hand colored etching is from a French natural history book, made in the 1800's. It is in an extravagant custom frame which features a decorative hand-made French mat, gold metal-leafed frame, and glass.
Plate size is approximately 10" x 7", Frame size is 16.25" x 19.5"

Good aged condition, some foxing, the paper is toned.
