2 Richmond Notes Printed on Verso of Older Notes
The first note is a Richmond seventy five cent fractional note from April 14, 1862. The serial number is E3927 and is signed lower right. The verso shows it was printed from an old five dollar note from the Bank of Manassa. This seems to be an unused or rare note. It is in good condition with crisp colors on both sides and some minor staining. It measures approx. 5 1/2" wide x 2 1/4" long. The second note is the same but is the entire five dollar Bank of Manassa note pieced together from old Richmond sixty cent fractional notes on the verso. The sixty cent notes all have serial numbers and are signed, but the five dollar note on the front is not signed. it appears to be a note put together by someone to recreate the original five dollar note. It has been taped together and is very well worn. It measures approx. 7 1/4" wide x 3" long. You are bidding at a live sale, please read the terms and conditions. Items will be packed and shipped by our in-house shipping and shipped via USPS unless they are oversized, and they will be taken to the UPS store in Kendall Park, NJ.
