Rare German handbook: "Ich rufe die Jugend der Welt: Bensdorp Olympia 1936 Almanach" by E. Fiscus (Wien: Bensdorp A. G.), 1936. First edition. Softcover. 8vo. 79pp. Published by chocolate producer Bensdorp of Vienna, this work is a comprehensive handbook and almanac of the 1936 Summer Games in Berlin, containing a complete winner list of award recipients (men and women) of the 1932 Los Angeles Summer Games and the 1932 Winter Olympics that were held in Lake Placid, as well as the winners from the February 1936 Winter Olympics at of Garmisch-Partenkirchen. The book covers the 240 Austrian athletes on their way to Berlin as well as many photos from the 1936 Garmisch-Partenkirchen Winter Olympics, the Berlin Olympic Stadium, the Olympic Bell, Olympic Village and rowing and swimming facilities. It also contains the day-by-day, hour-by-hour schedule of all Olympic events held from 1 - 16 August 1936 in Berlin. Slightly trimmed right edge, else very good.
