RAYON DES SOIERIES ART DECO POSTER
French lithograph poster, 30.5 x 46.5 in., ca. 1930, for Manuel Rosenthal's opera "Silk Department" about the goings-on of two employees working in the silk department of a store, featuring classic art deco work by Maurice Dufrene, who also created the sets and costumes for the production itself. Lithographed by Chaix, Paris, this gorgeous poster is a later printing, which showcases more color than the original print and is generally considered to be more desirable. Slight tear on left edge, minor creasing, colors on the silk slightly faded, else fine condition.
