ALAN SHEPARD
(1923 - 1998) American astronaut, a member of the Mercury team and the first American in space. First-edition copy of his book: "Moon Shot: The Inside Story of America's Race to the Moon" (Atlanta: Turner Publishing, Inc.), 1994, 8vo. 383pp. with pictorial dust jacket. Shepard signs in black ink on a book plate affixed to the front flyleaf, adding the dedication: "To Mary". Fine condition.
