RONALD REAGAN PRESIDENTIAL TUMBLER

A great relic from the presidency of Ronald Reagan, a glass tumbler, approx. 3.75 in. tall with weighted bottom, bearing an engraved presidential seal on one side and facsimile signatures from both Ronald Reagan and Nancy Reagan on the other. This was likely submitted to the White House for approval for use at White House functions, or as gifts, and is probably unique. Fine to very fine condition, with no chips or scratches readily apparent. From the estate of Cmdr. Ronald L. Jackson (1928-1990). Jackson, a Navy officer, was tasked with supervising the planning and implementation of reciprocal state dinners, the operation of the White House Mess and food service at Camp David and aboard Air Force One, and travelled everywhere with Presidents Johnson through George H. Bush. This lot includes a scan of an original certificate-of-authenticity, testifying that Jackson "always had a special souvenir" for White House visitors, and originally signed by Jackson's direct relatives.
