Good lot of three World War I propaganda posters, includes: War Savings Stamps poster, 30 x 40 in., showing a nude child in front of the torch-bearing arm of the Statue of Liberty, beneath the title: "Save your Child from Autocracy and Poverty". The top-right of the image bears the name of the artist HERBERT PAUS (1860-1944). The publishing line of the United States Printing and Lithograph Company in New York appears beneath the image, and the label "S-3" appears in the bottom-left corner. Substantial hole at bottom, some notable marginal tears, some archivally repaired on the verso. WITH: Scarce World War I poster, 30 x 40 in.. ca. 1919, issued after the close of the war, showing a smiling wounded American soldier holding three German helmets as trophies, next to the caption: "And they thought we couldn't fight". The bottom bears the label "VICTORY LIBERTY LOAN", beneath the printed signature of the artist, CLYDE FORSYTHE (1885 - 1962). The bottom margin bears the label "5-C" and the publication line of the Ketterlinus Company in Philadelphia. Ragged edges with numerous tears and spots of loss. WITH: Full-color poster, 20 x 30 in., showing an American soldier holding his wife and child, beneath the title: "For Home and Country." The bottom right bears the printed signature of artist Alfred Everitt Orr, the caption "Victory Liberty Loan", and the publisher's label of American Lithographic Company in New York. Ragged edges with numerous tears, damp-stained at bottom.
