EVA BRAUN ENGRAVED SILVER LOCKET

Fancifully engraved locket once owned and worn by EVA BRAUN (1912-1945), an office assistant and model who became the longtime companion of Adolf Hitler and, for less than 40 hours, his wife. The locket, about 1 in. tall and with suspension ring, bears a skilled engraving of three flowers with stems at its three corners. At center appears a carefully engraved "E B" monogram, the well-known "butterfly" monogram designed for Braun by her close friend, Albert Speer. The locket opens via a hinge at left to reveal a gold-washed interior. From a thirty-year collection of "personality" material, this grouping was a direct soldier "bring back".
