BOOK PRESENTED TO MARCHER FROM BEER HALL PUTSCH

Interesting Third Reich book with a rare dedication: "Fliegende Front" by Hauptmann W.E. Freiherr von Medem (Berlin: Verlag die Wehrmacht), 1942. 119pp. 4to., covering all aspects of the Luftwaffe units of the German Wehrmacht during the early glory days of World War II. Most interestingly, this book was presented to one of the original marchers from Hitler's "Beer Hall Putsch", Hauptsturmfuhrer Bert Hambuecker, as indicated by a black ink inscription on the front flyleaf, which reads in German: "the old marchers of the 'Feldherrnhalle' Hauptsturmfhrer Bert Humbucker in old comradeship!...Gross Glockersdorf in July 1943". An unidentified Truppfuhrer signs beneath. The bottom right of the front flyleaf bears the red ink stamp of the SA-Standarte "Feldherrnhalle", the honor guards of the NSDAP-Ehrenmal at the Feldherrnhalle in Munich. Some individual has added blue ink identifying inscriptions beneath the book's images, yet these do not detract from the text or images. Largely broken at the gutters, with covers coming a bit loose, small spots of foxing throughout, else very good.
