AMERICAN LIGHT TANK TELESCOPE
A great relic, a M70D Telescope fitted for use with the M6 37mm gun on the M5 Stuart tank and the M8 Greyhound armored car. The reticle is marked "37-M51", which is for use with the 37mm M51 armor-piercing capped round, which was primarily used for anti-tank applications. The optics are slightly clouded, yet still quite good and could likely be improved with cleaning. The rubber above the eyemask bears the serial number "D25840", the shaft bears the serial number "58822...C80903", and the rotating lens at the far end bears the serial number "B177652". The green paint slightly chipping at parts, else very good condition.
