RUDOLF HESS'' PERSONAL CRYSTAL AND SILVER CANDLESTICK

A small crystal and engraved sterling silver candlestick owned and used by Deputy Fuhrer and Minister RUDOLF HESS (1894-1987). The ca. 1925 candlestick, probably used to melt wax to seal letters, resembles a Greek column and stands 4.5 in. tall. A 1" sterling silver cup is affixed at top, and it bears Hess' unique "R H" monogram carefully engraved to one side in a manner consistent to the era and identical to other Hess pieces from that period. Hallmarked by Weimar silversmith Theodor Muller and bearing an "800" purity stamp. Fine.
