First Edition “Gevuros Hashem” Passover Haggadah by the Maharal of Prague

Published by the Maharal of Prague Himself; Krakow, 1582

Rare, complete first edition copy of Rabbi Yehuda Lowe of Prague's commentary on the Pesach Haggadah.

This commentary was reprinted many times in various Haggadah editions. This is the first edition of the original commentary, published by the Maharal himself in 1582.

The final pages at the end of the sefer include a synopsis of the laws of Pesach and yayin nesech, and words of mussar advising to be careful in these matters. These final three pages are exceptionally rare.

Published in Krakow, 1582.
