Ted Long was born on a homestead near North Platte, Nebraska. He lived and worked a ranch there most of his life. He had no formal art training but from his studio in a century-old log cabin he gained national acclaim for his highly detailed oil paintings and bronze sculptures depicting 19th-century American West culture. Measures 12 x 18 x 10.5 inches including the base.
