Whatman 1897 watermark paper appeared in the October 17 issue of 1900 and pictures Mrs. Whiffletree, a recurring Puck character in gossipy dialogue with Mrs. Swamproot. Mrs. Whiffletree and her husband Josh Whiffletree were recurring characters who appeared in Puck for many years. Signed O'Neill Latham lower right.
