The elaborate composition in ink wash is signed lower left. It is of the size, type and time period of O'Neill's mature period as one of America's leading magazine illustrators. The subject and handling are closely comparable to her contemporary work for Puck and other ink-and-wash drawings associated with her 1904 novel The Loves of Edwy. Sheet measures 15.5 x 22.25 and frame is 20 x 27 inches.
