Adolf Arthur Dehn (1895-1968) Herr aus München (Gentleman from Munich) 1926 The etching, numbered 12 from an edition of 12 prints, is signed and dated by the artist in pencil below the image lower right and titled lower left. At the time this was made, Dehn was living in Europe where he found it cheaper to live and easier to be a nearly starving artist. Here he immersed himself in the cafes, cabarets, theaters and nightlife of Paris, Vienna and Berlin, chronicling the patrons and the performers he saw. Plate size 10.75 x 8.25, sheet measures 19.5 x 15 inches, no frame.
