A SIGNED JAPANESE FLOWER ARRANGING BASKET, ADAIR ESTATE - The ikebana and tea room arrangements basket is constructed with vertical-slats of thin, parallel bamboo stays forming an elegant, baluster-shaped body with reinforced by multiple horizontal bands of twined bamboo wrapping and decorated with ornamental knotting throughout. The high arching handle is decorated with ornamental rattan knotting and splits into a three-pronged anchor system where it attaches to the rim, featuring tightly woven knotwork and braided rattan detailing.
