BIRD NEST FLOWER BASKET SIGNED KOCHIKUSAI, ADAIR ESTATE - The asymmetric, pear-shape silhouette is crafted using wide, pliable bamboo strips woven in a loose, intertwining pattern of irregularity exuding a rustic, naturalistic aesthetic to be hung using the small rattan-wrapped hanging loop attached at the upper back. The work is finished in a rich, reddish-auburn patina and is accompanied by its original cylindrical bamboo water insert along with its original fitted paulownia wood tomobako.
