AN UNUSUAL ARTIST-SIGNED JAPANESE BAMBOO TRAY, ADAIR ES - The shallow, square tray with gracefully upturned corners constructed from very thin split bamboo woven in a crisp, open square lattice anchored along the perimeter by a rope-twisted coiled rim below the double-strand arch handle decorated at the apex with an intricate spiral rattan butterfly knot rosette. The basket is paired with a striking faceted liner decorated with geometric patches of gold and silver foil. The original fitted paulownia wood storage box is included.
