SHOKO-SAI JAPANESE BAMBOO IKEBANA BASKET, ADAIR ESTATE - The finely executed bamboo flower basket of rounded, rectangular squat form is meticulously woven in a dense twilled plaiting pattern joining a flattened tripartite handle composed of three parallel bamboo splints bound together with decorative rattan 'X-knots and butterfly knots. The base is raised on four small rattan knot 'feet' at the corners and has a central signature splat - all in a beautiful rich dark mahogany patina. Basket measures 6.25 x 6.5 inches in diameter.
