SIGNED JAPANESE BAMBOO IKEBANA BASKET, ADAIR ESTATE - An outstanding 'Full Moon' basket finely woven utilizing a dense twill weave of bamboo splints with circular rim composed of bundled stalks meticulously roped together to maintain a perfect circumference. The design features a ''bridge'' of gnarled bamboo stalks, the base features a hexagonal weave within a rectangular frame reinforced by a thick horizontal runner. The complex weave is finished in variegated burnt-orange and soot-black. Signed by an unidentified artist with inscribed signature on base splint. Measures 15 x 14.5 x 10.5 inches.
