The classically framed 19th century oil on canvas is titled Near Little Falls N.Y. on the brass plaque, and attributed to the French born New York painter Arthur Quartley (1839-1886). A paper label lettered by an early 20th century fountain pen verso makes the attribution. No signature could be found. Canvas measures 12 x 20 with a framed size of 19.5 x 27.5 x 3.5 inches.
