A FINE KARAJA RUNNER, NW PERSIA, DATED AH 1273/AD 1856 - The blue field with a column of four serrated rhombus medallions between star flower head medallions with a large hooked shield palmette to one end, supported by hooked diamonds, scattered flower heads and two ibex, within a chestnut border enclosing continuous linked palmettes alternating with star flower heads, twin ivory guard borders. Measures 150 x 39.5 inches; 12ft.6 inches x 3ft.4in; 381 x 102cm.
