A KUBA 'BLOSSOM' RUG, NORTH EAST CAUCASUS, CIRCA 1900 - The blue field with offset rows of large polychrome blazen flower heads, within an ivory star flower head diagonal bar and linked vine border, single diagonal hooked bar guard borders. Measures approximately 55.5 x 37.5 inches; 4ft.8.inches x 3ft.2in: 141 x 96cm. Condition Pile fair, some wear, with foundation visible in dark walnut areas due to natural iron corrosion, three holes approx 2cm. by 2cm. max. to right hand side, likely cause old moth damage, some slight knot losses to ends with irregular warp fringes extant.
