The large and unusual mountain landscape is signed lower front alongside the designation of N.A, signifying Gene Kloss' membership in the National Academy of Design. As a peer-elected honor, this title confirms her standing as a skilled and accomplished artist. While Kloss was a prolific printmaker who etched more than 627 copper plates throughout her career.
