Ila McAfee was born in Colorado and trained at the Art Students League of New York, where she studied under John Sloan. In the 1920s she relocated to New Mexico and is known for painting Southwest landscapes and Native American subjects. Board measures 10 x 12 with a framed size of 18 x 20 x 2.25 inches.
