This work was featured on page 60 of 'Return to the Heartland: Rediscovering George Van Millet' by Lynn Mackle, Rockhill Books, Kansas City, 2011. In her accomplished Ms. Mackle relates the following in regard to this image, '' One senses that many of Millett's happiest hours were spent at Baldwin Lake, hunting and fishing with the lures he crafted by hand. Dr. Van Robinson, a grandson, recalls restful days spent fishing with his grandfather, when his job as a youngster was retrieving those special lures from the lake. Dr. Robinson remembers that Millett, with whom he lived for several years, was a wonderful and patient mentor, spending many hours teaching him to hunt and fish.''
