Gag 1915 The original work on paper is signed and dated lower left, signed again verso and titled 'Wanda H. Gag.' Adolf Dehn and Wanda Gag were both Minnesota-born artists who became close friends while studying at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design. They both earned scholarships to the Art Students League of New York in 1917. Dehn is known for his painting, lithographs and satirical drawings, while Gag is celebrated for her children's book illustrations.
