Eugene Higgins (1874-1975) Eugene Higgins was born in Kansas City in 1874 and moved with his father to St. Louis in 1878 following the death of his mother. 1 An original sketch in colored pencil, signed lower right front. 2. An unframed etching in very good condition unmounted, with deckle edges, clean, no damage, and titled Hungry Mouths , signed in pencil lower right. 3. A drawing or illustration in red conte signed lower right in pencil. The largest overall sheet measures 12.5H x 18.5W inches.
