Charles Banks Wilson (1918-2013) Man with a Plow 1939 The very rare lithograph printed on Basingwerk Parchment watermark paper in an edition of only 26 prints is signed by the artist in pencil below the image lower right and titled lower left. Hunt number 9. Unframed. In Hunt's catalog, Charles Banks Wilson remarked: 'People simply liked this design. I believe few who bought it noticed that I was comparing the man with the image on the wall poster. It wasn't until later that I realized I could draw an Indian picture without making a social comment.' Image measures 12 x 7.5, sheet is 16 x 11.5 inches.
