Floy Campbell was actively painting in Kansas City earlier than the other women artists in this sale. She was born in Weston and graduated Central High in KC. She attended Columbia University in New York, and later the forerunner of the KC Art Institute, the Kansas City Art Association and School of Design in the early 1890s. She later studied in Paris before returning to Kansas City to work as a teacher and art historian. Board measures 19.5 x 23.25 with a framed size of 23.5 x 27.25 inches.
