Old House
The sunlit composition of homes along a lane by this American Impressionist painter from St. Louis is signed lower right front and titled verso by the period label pasted to the original backing.
Frank Nuderscher, dubbed ' the Dean of St. Louis Artists' for his leadership and influence in the local arts community, was the winner of numerous awards there and across the state of Missouri, including State purchase prize in the 1920s. His work is represented in the capital rotunda by a mural depicting the St. Louis waterfront. one of many commissions he completed around the country.
