1933-1934

The work of Magic Realism from early in Green's career also aligns with Art Deco influences and is displayed in a carved frame of the same influences. It is signed, titled, dated and inscribed Yale verso.

Robert Berkley Green graduated from Carnegie Institute in 1931 and Yale in 1935. After serving in World War Two, he taught at the University of Kansas for 33 years.

His works are held in the Yale University Gallery, Spencer Museum, Carnegie Museum and the Smithsonian, which acquired eight of his works in 1995.
