PAULINE H. SHIRER (1894-1975) OIL ON ARTIST'S BOARD
Third quarter of the 20th century.
The atmospheric and somewhat surreal composition of a winter village, is signed lower right front.
One of the largest on record, this surrealist-leaning composition in a soft, muted palette also utilizes stylized birch and a wall of falling snow before a village with lighted windows to create a certain mood.
Sight size measures 19.5 x 23.5 with a framed size of 26 x 30 inches.
