A CIRCA 1931 'AZTEC' CATHEDRAL ATTRIBUTED TO RADA CRON - See an identical example in this catalog, but with a clock deftly incorporated into the center of the grille. The escutcheon on that model is embossed RADA CRON. This example is marked AZTEC. The case is identical but for the clock. Each has an identical oval tag on on the chassis with five digit numeral. The RADA CRON radio company was a manufacturer based in Kansas City, Missouri, that operated in the early 1930s[1]. They specialized in producing unique radio sets that incorporated clocks into their design, creating a line of early clock radios. The operating condition of this unit is not known.
