A 1929 PAINTED GLASS LIGHTED SIGN FOR C. A. EARL RADIO - The rare lighted sign is obverse painted in thick black silhouette with reverse painted backing of green and red. The glass is framed in a gold painted wood frame and backed by the original metal can and retains the original silk-wrapped cord. Clarence A. Earl, through a series of maneuvers, founded the Earl Radio Corporation in June of 1929, the year of the stock market crash. By 1930, a vice president of the firm had jumped to his death and the firm's factory had been sold, making this a very rare sign. Measures 7.25 x 19.25 x 5.25 inches.
