A 1929 PAINTED GLASS LIGHTED SIGN FOR C. A. EARL RADIO
The rare lighted sign is obverse painted in thick black silhouette with reverse painted backing of green and red. The glass is framed in a gold painted wood frame and backed by the original metal can and retains the original silk-wrapped cord.

Clarence A. Earl, through a series of maneuvers, founded the Earl Radio Corporation in June of 1929, the year of the stock market crash. By 1930, a vice president of the firm had jumped to his death and the firm's factory had been sold, making this a very rare sign.
