FORREST STOVE CO & RADIO KNX IRON 'MICROPHONE' C. 1930 - The figural cast iron microphone is finished in the red and green 'graniteware' enameling as would be found on stoves and other everyday items of the day. This rare advertising item is lettered Forrest Stove Works around the circumference of the microphone head while the outer rim of the tray is lettered Fred Forrest Over KNX Thu 6 to 7 PM. Frequency 1070, radio KNX, received its first broadcast license in Los Angeles in 1921 and still broadcasts today on AM and FM frequencies. Measures 5.5 x 6 inches.
