ARCHIVE OF AN AMERICAN ARTIST'S PAINTINGS AND EFFECTS - Charles Reinach (1868 - C.1930) The archive includes: 1. Five oil on canvas paintings in their original gilded frames, four are signed lower front and dated '92. The fifth oil is unsigned. 2. Three objects included in the painting compositions include an engraved Bohemian glass pokal circa 1890, a brass 'push-up candlestick circa 1830, and a cranberry glass dish in gold metal mounts. 3. A collection of period cabinet card photographs of the artist and his family. Charles Reinach was an American artist and engraver based in Chicago, Illinois. He was known for his work in illustration and engraving, particularly during the early 20th century. Reinach was born and lived most of his life in Chicago, where he was active in the local art scene. By the 1910s, he was listed as an artist in the census records, and later, he became more prominently involved in engraving. Overall framed sizes range from 14.5 x 16.75 to 29.5 x 26.25 inches.
