Very Old Japanese Koto Period Tachi Sword, with 27 inch blade - Koto tachi, with a 27 inch blade is likely an early to mid Koto tachi, ca. 1300s. The blade shows a type of koshi-zori curvature as well as finely carved large and smaller bo-hi grooves. Blade shows a type of blend of mokume and itame hada with a complex Bizen style ko-choji hamon based on suguha. The tang has not been inspected given a screw through the tsuka.
