Unusual 1850 Model American Militia officers sword with - Unusual 1850 Model American Militia officers sword with 3 Texas Stars on the grip. Gilt brass mounts showing wear, nicely carved bone grip, back strap with three Texas stars. Blade is double edged and shows heavily worn etched decorations. Poor condition, hilt is very loose but a rare and seldom encountered example. Total length 34”, length of the blade - 29”.
